Why don't you test for estrogen?

We do not test for estrogen because it is a highly unstable hormone and fluctuates dramatically throughout the day. We test for DHEAS instead of estrogen because it is a more stable hormone marker for women. DHEAS is considered a hormone precursor, meaning it regulates the quantity of estrogen and testosterone in a woman’s body.
